I got NFS:U for x-mas and took it back after 3 days. It's worthless. Terrible menus, even worse than GT3, horrible controls (you drift by straightening the wheel after entering a corner, and if you actually transfer weight you end up spinning out, the game encourages poor driving habits), and the cars stats appear to have been pulled out of a monkey's arse.

What if they dropped the Need for Speed title, and instead made their spin-offs into individual franchises; Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 4: Re-enlisted Need for Speed: Underground 3: Revenge of the Kei Cars Need for Speed: The Run 2 They've technically done this with the Shift series. It went from Need for Speed: Shift to Shift 2: Unleashed.

Uploaded September 21st, 2005, it's simply titled "speed" and predates even Most Wanted's release date by two months. Underground 2 was still the newest NFS title. 528. To be fair, the wrap system in NFS 2015 allows for far bigger customization than the 4 vinyl slots in Underground games (you could set which vinyls to place, in which order and in what color). and especially the Most Wanted 2005 (which only limited you to a single vinyl slot).
Facts. I like it more as well. The progress in nicely paced and the handling is just really good imo. Nicely direct and kind of on rails to better nail the racing line and be fast. Ug2 wasn't the first open world racer. The first open world racing game was Turbo Esprit that released back in 1986.
