Man I'v been trying everything to get HEN (PS3UPDAT.PUP) to istall on my PS3 super slim and nothing seems to work! Firstly, the PS3 will not see the file on the USB (in the right port) so updating via settings screen it just says no applicable data found (or somehting along those lines).
With PKG you need to copy over the PKG installer and then run it and install the game. When your are done you have the data for both the installer PKG and the game data. Yes you delete the PKG when done but nut this can annoying with larger games and if you have low internal space. You can split encrypted ISOs and store them on an external HDD

And with hen use the sight mentioned in the guide and I preferred the alternate method were it will initialise then you exit browser click on remote play. Then above remote plan an icon will show install hen click that let it do its magic then turn off and back on ps3. Hopefully then all is well the enable hen will be there to click on.
